We also offer exciting venue benefits at Chelsea Piers. About the Opportunity Chelsea Piers seeks a part-time Tennis Teaching Professional to join our Tennis Coaching team. In this role, you will be responsible for using your expertise to instruct and coach our youth tennis athletes. We are looking for a patient, outgoing, creative and energetic individual with experience working with ages 3-8 years old (Red Ball Tennis).
Primary Responsibilities:
Using your Tennis expertise, coach junior groups of tennis players from ages 3-8 years. Teach private Tennis lessons. Maintain professional relationships with students and parents. Some administrative work as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience coaching Tennis at a Red Ball (ages 3-8 years) level. PTR certifications encouraged. Experience as a Tennis player required. USTA rating of 5.0 and above. Energetic and hard-working. Ability to work independently or within a group. Willingness to learn from other staff members and share your knowledge. Excellent verbal skills in translation to coaching tennis. Must maintain professional and courteous manner at all times, and have a customer-service focused mindset. Ability to work weekends and evenings. Maintain and neat and professional appearance at all times, including wearing Chelsea Piers uniform. Ability to retain customers year-round and form long-lasting professional relationships.
Compensation:
$30-$35/hour
Schedule:
Primarily weekday evenings, and weekends required.
