Job Description

Lake Waramaug Country Club is seeking a friendly, reliable, and service-oriented Pro Shop Associate to join our golf operations team. This role is an important touchpoint for members and guests, providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of the golf shop and overall club experience. Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist members and guests in a professional, welcoming manner
  • Check in golfers and manage tee times
  • Process retail sales transactions using the point-of-sale system
  • Handle merchandise sales including apparel, accessories, and golf equipment
  • Answer phone calls and assist with reservations and general inquiries
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised pro shop environment
  • Assist with tournament operations and daily play coordination when asked
  • Provide information on club policies, course conditions, and events
  • Support inventory management, restocking, and merchandising displays
  • Work collaboratively with golf professionals and club staff Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, or golf course experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of golf and golf terminology is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Comfortable using POS systems and reservation software Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry golf bags or retail items as needed Schedule & Availability Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak golf hours Seasonal scheduling based on club needs

Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
