WHAT YOU'LL DO

Provide engaging individual and group tennis instruction to members and their guests. Coach junior and adult players across a variety of skill levels. Assist with organizing and promoting tennis and other racquet sports programming. Support clinics, events, tournaments, and other Racquets activities. Help grow participation and enthusiasm for tennis, paddle, and pickleball. Create a positive, encouraging environment that makes players excited to return to the court. Build strong relationships with members through personalized instruction and exceptional service. Partner with the Racquets team to deliver programming that reflects the Cherokee Standard.

Requirements:

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

3+ years of experience working with adult and junior tennis programs. 3+ years of racquet sports teaching experience. A competitive tennis or racquet sports playing background preferred. College playing experience or approximately a 5.0 playing level preferred. College degree preferred. USPTA, PTR, or Pickleball certification is a plus. Strong verbal communication and teaching skills. A positive, energetic, and professional presence on the court. Ability to connect comfortably with juniors and adults. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Ability to stand and coach for extended periods and work outdoors throughout the year. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, on-call position, with scheduling based on lessons, programming, member demand, and Club needs.
