Job Description

Overview Position Overview The Head Golf Professional oversees all aspects of The Patch's Golf Operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while maintaining financial sustainability. The HP provides strategic leadership, manages the staff, enhances facility services, and offers exceptional service. The HP will interact frequently with the leadership of the Masters Tournament Charities, Augusta Technical College and First Tee of Augusta to execute the mission of The Patch Project, LLC. The Patch Project strives to accomplish three things: provide high quality experiences at affordable rates to members of the greater Augusta community, educate and train the next generation of golf's workforce and introduce golfers to the game through the integration of First Tee and other golf development programming.

TPP Executive Committee Supervises All golf operations staff and personel. Experience Required The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of exceptional customer service and a deep knowledge of public golf operations. Essential Responsibilities Prepare and manage annual and monthly budgets for golf operations while taking corrective actions to meet financial goals. Reconcile all daily, weekly, and monthly operational activities. Oversee all golf tournaments, including sales, operations, administration, and billing collection. Order merchandise for the golf shop to ensure the best possible selection within inventory constraints and maintain a minimum annual profit margin of 30%. Provide golf lessons to members and guests while supervising the club's instruction program, offering expert guidance on golf techniques, equipment selection, and course management. Collaborate with the marketing team to advertise services and activities to potential customers and members, and assist in developing and conducting junior golf clinics. Coordinate with the golf course superintendent regarding course playability and conditioning. Order and manage supplies related to golf activities. Maintain an attractive, clean, and organized golf shop, cart staging area, and driving range. Hire, train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate all golf department personnel. Plan and conduct professional development and training activities for staff. Collect charges and fees for all golf-related activities. Organize and conduct club tournaments and related events. Interpret and enforce all club policies, rules, and regulations.
