Job Description

Overview You have to see it to believe it. Nestled in the mountains and overlooking Lake Burton, Georgia's most pristine lake, Waterfall Club is a refreshing private club retreat with magnificent mountain views - perhaps the most scenic club views anywhere - an athletic center with a spa, indoor pool and tennis courts, a lodge, an amazing golf experience, and an elite yet inclusive membership having fun all the time and year-round. At the heart of the Waterfall is a spectacular golf course featuring bentgrass greens and zoysia fairways. The centerpiece of our golf experience is one of the most memorable holes, number two, a par 3, with tee boxes atop a waterfall and a green 210 feet below. Be prepared to have your breath taken away by this view and tee shot! Experience Required Enrolled, or the intent to enroll, in the PGA PGM Program PGA PGM Level 1 or 2 preferred Essential Responsibilities This position will be year-round Plans, promotes and directs all golf activities. Assists Head Pro with annual budget targets and monthly inventory controls. Actively suggests ways that targets can be achieved. Orders supplies associated with golf activities. Maintains attractive, orderly appearance in the pro shop. Supervises, trains and evaluates Outside Services personnel. Play golf with members of all skill levels to generate enthusiasm. Collects charges and fees for all golf related activities. Organizes and conducts club tournaments and related events. Interprets and enforces golf rules and regulations. Interprets and enforces club policies, rules and regulations. Consults with the General Manager and Head Professional about operational problems and issues. Supervises and collects data for cart staff goals and adjust when appropriate. Cooperates with the grounds superintendent about maintenance issues that affect the playability of the golf course. Represents the club in area professional events including local, state or national events with prior approval from the General Manager. May work cart staff shifts during slower season. Maintains records relating to player and guest rounds and other statistics. Takes direction from Membership Office regarding all unaccompanied guest play and prospect play. Suggests appropriate tee times to not interfere with member play. Present at all Club run events and socials. Adheres to all federal, state and local laws regarding health, safety and employment. Assists in the development of short and long range plans for improvements to the club facilities and courses. Secures the Golf Shop at closing. Locks all doors in the Athletic Center and turns off lights and TVs along a security walk from shop to cart barn. Continued work towards PGA education is necessary.
