Job Description

Overview Entry level Associate Golf Professional in Hawaii on the Island of Lanai. Working for Four Seasons at Manele Golf Course, a high end Resort golf experience. Experience Required Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Two year minimum college education. Registered in the PGA Apprentice Program in good standing. Essential Responsibilities
JOB FUNCTIONS
The ability to assist in the daily operation and supervision of golf staff. The ability to train, motivate and supervise all employees to perform tasks to specified standards and hold them accountable to these standards. The ability to assist in retail merchandising, receiving, inventory, etc. The ability to assist the Head Golf Professional/1 st Asst. Golf Professional in all areas and duties assigned. The ability to control cash banks and cash handling procedures. The ability to control the use of facility and play on the golf course; enforce correct use of tee sheets, player registration, collection of fees and adherence to established rules and regulations of the course. The ability to assist in the execution of all golf outings, tournaments and FAM events. The ability to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of retail areas and the bag room. The ability to ensure an efficient and clean golf cart operation to wash, repair, store and disperse golf carts. The ability to problem solve guest complaints and concerns and provide resolutions. The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
Golf Service:
The ability to control the starting and marshalling of all play on the course. The ability to enforce the rules and regulations of the course. The ability to control the use of golf carts and practice facilities. The ability to organize and stage all golf outings and tournaments. The ability to maintain service equal to our established service standards. The ability to organize and conduct PGA of America programs - Play Golf America, PGA Junior Golf League, etc. Become proficient and point person for all golf systems, Visage GPS, GolfNow OpenCourse Tee Time System, MICROS Symphony POS.
Administrative:
The ability to supervise, train, test employees on brand standards. Work closely with other departments within Four Seasons Resorts Lanai - meetings, trainings, education classes, etc.
