Job Description

Enjoy your Summer at one of Chicago's most popular and busiest golf courses. Pro Shop Attendants will primarily work the point of sale system, checking golfers in, managing the tee sheet, and providing product knowledge about golf merchandise to golfers to drive sales. In the pro shop, it is important to provide a respectful and professional experience for all golfers that check-in, and make sure guests needs are anticipated and met before, during, and after their round. Compensation is competitive, and all employees will earn golf privileges at all 10 FPG golf courses in the Chicago Cook County area. Golf experience and knowledge of the game is not required but is preferred. The Golf Shop Attendant will offer friendly and expedient service to the property's guests and assist the golf professional staff in golf shop operations, merchandise sales and other golf-related activities.
Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)
Pay Rate:
$16.60 - 18.40 per hour Must have a friendly and positive personality Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills Must have basic computer skills Must be dependable and have a strong work ethic Knowledge about the game of golf preferred Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process Arranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directed Collects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trained Issues receipts for guest purchases Takes messages for staff or guests Assists in packing and unpacking inventory and golf operations supplies Assists in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager 401(k) Retirement Plan Health and Dental Care Vision Benefit Disability Insurance Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Account (HSA) Legal Assistance Paid Time-Off Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
