Opportunity:
If you LOVE the game of tennis, are good at it, and have experience in coaching or teaching the game to others, this job is right for you. A JCC Tennis Professional teaches group lessons, participates in special tennis-related events, assists with tournaments and has the option to teach private lessons. Teaching tennis at the JCC? The

What you'll be doing: Provides beginning through advanced instruction for all levels and ages of players Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure students build on the fundamentals that will encourage continued participation Ensure players understand safety and tennis rules, tennis etiquette and scoring procedures What you bring to the table: High school diploma 1-2 years of experience in tennis instruction (teaching adults, juniors and youth at various levels) Current or previous tennis tournament or college-level experience CPR/AED certified (current) High energy, great attitude, sound judgment Availability 4-8p during the week What we offer: Starting pay rate of $26/hour Great culture, great teammates, great working environment Free JCC membership and discounts on programs & services Flexible schedule Convenient location on northwest side of
Indy Work Environment:
High level of mobility is required. Must be able to spend several hours per day on the court, exposed to heat, sunlight, humidity, and other weather elements while teaching and playing tennis with participants. Indoor work environment (during inclement weather) may be affected by heat and humidity. Must be able to lift, move, or carry up to 40 pounds.
