Job Description

Overview Assists in administering all daily golf operations, including facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating the POS system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, and serving in roles such as ranger, starter, guest relations, outside service, or golf shop shifts. Experience Required Associate's degree (AA); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current
PGA/LGPA
Membership. Ability to read and speak English is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with computerized POS and tee time system. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Essential Responsibilities Administer point of sales application revisions and needs related to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing. Coordinate with Accounting Departments on policy and procedure revisions, updates, and implementation. Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check-in, and receive payments from members and guests. Resolve discrepancies involving duplicate charges and over or under payment. Track all force posts and no-show charges as applicable. Initiate and promote all club golf activities. Create lesson plans and provide both individual and group instruction. Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop. Assist retail buyer with procurement and merchandising and support shop assistants with merchandising and sales. Supervise preparations for all golf outings including scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets and hole assignments. Monitor members' scores, report handicapping to USGA, and bill members. Assist the Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Assist in the management of department members including Starters, Player Assistants, and Guest Services Attendants. Ensure effective orientation and training for each new associate. Assist in developing ongoing training programs. Assist in monitoring business volume forecast and planning accordingly in manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses. Implement and maintain excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction. Conduct staff meetings with subordinates. Incorporate safe work practices in job performance. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as required.
