Overview Founded in 1922, Norwood Hills Country Club has long been a premier private destination in St. Louis. We pride ourselves on maintaining the championship-quality design of architect Wayne Stiles while fostering a welcoming atmosphere centered on family, competition, and vision. We are seeking an Assistant Golf Professional who values our deep history and is dedicated to preserving our high standards for future generations. As the host of the PGA Tour Champions event, Stifel Charity Classic, Norwood Hills offers an exciting opportunity for golf professionals to be a part of an event that attracts some of the greatest names in golf. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Golf Professional to join our team and assist in maintaining the highest standards of excellence in golf operations. Experience Required Enrolled in the PGM Program is preferred. Demonstrate leadership and professionalism, setting an example for all employees in behavior and work ethic. Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities. Customer-service oriented with a focus on service excellence. Proficient in written and verbal business communication. Proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and familiar with other tools such as email, internet, tournament software, and databases. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain standing for extended periods of time. Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Essential Responsibilities Assist the Head Golf Professional with the daily operations of the golf course and pro shop. Help plan and execute member tournaments, events, and outings. Assist in Player Development Programs. Perform starter and marshaling duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional. Provide golf instruction to members, guests, and junior golfers as needed. Promote and sell merchandise in the pro shop, ensuring inventory is well-organized and appealing. Foster strong member relationships through exceptional service, including playing with the members when time allows. Ensure that all operations align with Norwood Hills' high standards of service and professionalism. Participate in preparations for the Stifel Charity Classic, contributing to the smooth execution of the event. Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image. Actively embody and promote the club's clore values of family, competition, and vision in all member interactions and tournament operations.
