Valhallan Esports Training is seeking a knowledgeable and team-oriented Youth Apex Legends Coach to mentor athletes ages 7-17 at our Southeast Las Vegas arena. Our coaches help players improve within the game while developing teamwork, confidence, leadership, communication, accountability, and strategic thinking. The ideal coach will understand legend roles, rotations, team compositions, and the decision-making required for organized competitive play. We proactively introduce esports to kids, teens, adults, and families so they can understand the value and opportunities that structured competitive gaming can provide. Our athletes are exposed to organized competition, collegiate esports pathways, potential scholarship opportunities, STEM and technology, cybersecurity, game development, content creation, and careers throughout the growing esports industry. At Valhallan, we aren't simply teaching kids how to play video games. We teach, train, develop, and grow athletes through gaming, helping them turn passion into purpose and skills developed in esports into skills they can carry into college, careers, and the real world.

Key Responsibilities Apex Legends Coaching:

Lead practices focused on aiming, movement, positioning, legend abilities, team compositions, rotations, zone management, fight selection, communication, and resource management.

Competitive Team Development:

Help athletes understand team roles, improve ranked performance, make stronger decisions, and prepare for organized competition.

Presentations and Instruction:

Deliver strategy presentations, demonstrations, drills, match reviews, and constructive feedback for players at different skill levels.

Curriculum Delivery:

Learn and deliver Valhallan's structured, STEM-certified training and character-building programs.

Character and Life Skills:

Reinforce leadership, communication, patience, accountability, adaptability, confidence, and problem-solving.

Computer Setup and Cleanup:

Prepare gaming PCs or consoles, launch Apex Legends, troubleshoot minor technical issues, and maintain a clean and organized arena.

Parent Communication:

Professionally update parents regarding athlete development, participation, team progress, and league schedules.

Marketing and Community Support:

Assist with free trials, tournaments, camps, local events, and welcoming prospective families. Qualifications and Requirements Strong understanding of Apex Legends legends, roles, weapons, maps, rotations, team compositions, and competitive strategy Competitive, ranked, tournament, or scrim experience is preferred In-game leadership, shot-calling, coaching, or VOD review experience is a plus Previous experience working with children or teenagers is highly valued Strong communication, presentation, patience, and leadership skills Dependable, professional, encouraging, and able to provide constructive feedback Basic PC, console, account, and controller troubleshooting knowledge Must be able to pass a standard background check Ability to Commute or Relocate Las Vegas, NV 89123: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
