PAK Gymnastics is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced Recreational Program Director to lead and grow our recreational gymnastics program. At PAK, we believe gymnastics is about more than learning skills. Our goal is to create an environment where athletes develop courage, commitment, and confidence while feeling supported, challenged, and excited to come to the gym. The Recreational Program Director will play a major role in creating that experience. This position is responsible for overseeing our recreational classes, developing and supporting coaches, maintaining a consistent curriculum, and helping our program continue to grow. What You'll Do Lead and oversee PAK Gymnastics' recreational gymnastics program Help manage and develop recreational class schedules Create and maintain structured lesson plans and skill progressions for each recreational level Ensure athletes are progressing safely and consistently through each class level Train, mentor, and provide feedback to recreational coaches Help onboard and educate new coaching staff Monitor classes to maintain high standards for safety, coaching quality, engagement, and organization Help coaches understand gymnastics terminology, progressions, spotting expectations, and class management Communicate with parents regarding athlete progression, class placement, and program questions when needed Assist with athlete evaluations and recommendations for class advancement Identify athletes who may be a good fit for PAK's Pre-Team program Work with management to improve enrollment, retention, and the overall parent and athlete experience Assist with recreational showcases, special events, Open Gym, Parents Night Out, Birthday Parties and other PAK programs as needed Help create a positive, encouraging, and professional culture among both athletes and staff We're Looking For Someone Who Has previous gymnastics coaching experience Has a strong understanding of recreational gymnastics skills and progressions Is confident leading and developing other coaches Is dependable, organized, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative Communicates professionally with parents, athletes, and staff Can create a fun environment while still maintaining structure and expectations Understands that every athlete progresses differently and can coach accordingly Prioritizes athlete safety and proper skill development Enjoys working with children of different ages and ability levels Wants to help build and grow a program rather than simply show up and coach assigned classes Previous leadership or recreational program management experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
