Why TOPs? TOPs Eastside Tennis Center is operated by a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to empower youth through tennis, education, fitness, and character development, regardless of economic circumstance. We are more than a tennis facility. We offer comprehensive junior development pathways, competitive tennis programs, adult classes and clinics, and one of the largest junior competition programs in the Pacific Northwest. As a coach at TOPs, you will have the opportunity to: Work with players ranging from young beginners to advanced competitive juniors Coach adults through classes, clinics, teams, and private instruction Help young players develop not only as tennis players, but also as confident, resilient and well-rounded individuals Be part of a collaborative team of experienced teaching professionals Continue developing your coaching skills and learn from other coaches on staff Take on additional coaching responsibilities and hours as your role develops What We're Looking For We are looking for a coach who brings energy and enthusiasm to the court and genuinely enjoys helping players improve.
Desired qualifications and qualities include:
4+ years of tennis teaching/coaching experience strongly preferred Passion for tennis and for enriching the lives of youth Positive attitude, high energy, and self-motivation Engaging and enthusiastic court presence Strong communication and interpersonal skills Team-oriented approach and willingness to collaborate with other coaches Strong organizational skills, punctuality and professionalism Ability to take direction, implement feedback, and continually improve Schedule & Opportunity This position is initially 20-30 hours per week , with the potential to expand to additional hours for the right candidate. There is flexibility to build a schedule around the coach's interests and availability, with opportunities to work with juniors, competitive players, adults, teams, classes, clinics, and private lessons.
