Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant team as an Ice Cream Cake Decorator and bring joy to customers through your creativity and exceptional service! In this lively role, you will craft beautiful, delicious ice cream cakes / grab & go items, ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a fun, welcoming atmosphere where customers feel valued and appreciated. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills, master food handling techniques, and excel in a fast-paced retail environment. Training is not provided, must have cake decorating experience. Duties Decorate and assemble ice cream cakes with artistic flair, following customer specifications and store standards Engage with customers to take orders, answer questions about products, and recommend upselling options to enhance sales Operate POS systems for transactions, cash handling, and processing payments accurately Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation standards, food safety regulations, and proper food handling procedures Requirements Experience with cake decorating and a working knowledge of all tools and materials required to assemble and decorate unique and vibrant ice cream cakes (please include a photo portfolio of your recent designs/work with your resume or email photos to info@scrumdiddlyicecreamshops.com) Ability to train other team members on ice cream cake assembly and decorating Knowledge of food safety practices and proper sanitation procedures in a food industry setting Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while maintaining a clean work environment Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail sales is highly preferred Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a positive experience Expected hours: 8.0 - 12.0 per week
