General Manager Job Summary The Baker at LOFTY is responsible for producing high-quality breads, pastries, and other baked goods in alignment with our signature recipes and standards. This role requires a passion for artisanal baking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and execute LOFTY's proprietary recipes with precision, consistency, and care. Maintain appropriate PAR levels to meet daily and weekly production demands. Operate, maintain, and clean baking equipment—including mixers, ovens, and other tools—ensuring safe and efficient use. Uphold LOFTY's standards for quality, consistency, and food safety. Ensure all baked goods are fully stocked and available by opening each day. Adhere to sanitation, allergen control, and food safety guidelines at all times. Restock and sanitize workstations during and after shifts, maintaining readiness for the next team. Perform daily cleaning of equipment, baking pans, tools, and work surfaces. Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures to manage and rotate inventory. Communicate effectively with café staff, leadership, and fellow team members. Qualifications Valid Food Handler's Certificate required. Degree from an accredited culinary school or equivalent professional baking experience preferred. Previous experience in a professional kitchen or bakery. Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays. Exceptional attention to detail in preparation and presentation. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in production scheduling. Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 100 lbs., and work in a high-temperature environment. Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent performance.
