00 per hour | Approximately 35 hours/week Variable shifts Tuesday-Sunday Blossom Farms is looking for a reliable, hardworking Bakery Production Assistant / Baker to join our growing team. We are a small, locally owned bakery producing handcrafted sourdough breads, bagels, pastries, and other baked goods for our customers and local farmers' markets. This is a hands-on, physically demanding bakery position. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well with others, and understands that reliability is essential to keeping a bakery production schedule running smoothly. What You'll Do
  • Prepare, mix, portion, shape, proof, and bake breads and other baked goods
  • Work with sourdough and yeast-based doughs
  • Assist with bagel and pastry production
  • Accurately measure ingredients and follow recipes
  • Shape, score, bake, cool, and package finished products
  • Prepare bakery products for farmers' markets and other sales events
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
  • Wash dishes and clean bakery equipment and work areas
  • Properly store ingredients and finished products
  • Assist with organizing and moving bakery supplies and finished products
  • Work efficiently and cooperatively as part of a small team
  • Perform other bakery production duties as needed This Is Physical Work Please read this section carefully before applying. Bakery production is labor-intensive and requires physical stamina. You will spend much of your shift on your feet and may regularly:
  • Lift and carry heavy bags, containers, trays, and dough
  • Work with large or heavy batches of dough
  • Bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull throughout the day
  • Work around hot ovens and in a hot bakery environment
  • Work around flour and flour dust
  • Perform repetitive movements during production
  • Move efficiently during busy production periods
  • Clean equipment and work areas at the end of production This is not a light-duty bakery or counter-service position.
Candidates should be comfortable with physical, repetitive work and working in a warm, fast-paced environment. What We're Looking For Reliability is extremely important. Our production schedule depends on our team being present and ready to work when scheduled.

  • Can adapt to changing production needs Experience Previous professional baking or food-production experience is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Experience with any of the following is especially helpful:
  • Sourdough
  • Bread production
  • Bagel production
  • Pastry production
  • Commercial or high-volume baking
  • Food preparation
  • Commercial bakery equipment Schedule This is a variable-shift position Tuesday through Sunday.
Shifts may vary based on bakery production, farmers' market schedules, holidays, special orders, and seasonal demand. Approximately 35 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours during particularly busy periods. Candidates must be available to work a combination of weekday and weekend shifts and must have dependable attendance. Pay & Opportunities for Advancement $20.00

00 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated skills. We believe increased responsibility and demonstrated ability should be reflected in compensation. Employees who become proficient in bakery production, demonstrate consistent reliability, and take on additional responsibilities may have opportunities for pay increases and advancement within the bakery. End-of-Season Bonus Eligible team members may receive an end-of-season bonus for successfully completing the season while demonstrating strong attendance, reliability, teamwork, and job performance.
