This position ensures bakery items are produced according to company recipes, food safety standards, and production schedules while maintaining product quality and freshness for customers each morning. Shifts will begin between 3am-5am, and fluctuates based on needs, and holidays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and bake breads, rolls, pastries, cookies, cakes, and other bakery products according to established recipes and procedures. Operate and monitor bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers, slicers, and packaging machinery. Measure, mix, shape, and prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and toppings. Follow production schedules to ensure adequate inventory levels and product availability. Decorate and finish bakery products as needed. Package, label, and date products in compliance with company standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. Rotate inventory using First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures. Monitor product quality and report any issues to management. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Assist with inventory counts and stock bakery supplies as needed. Minimize product waste and maintain cost-control practices. Collaborate with bakery team members to meet production goals. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous baking, food service, or grocery bakery experience preferred. Basic knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices. Ability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
