Full Job Description Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED, and/or equivalent combination of experience and education; Culinary degree preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in food service, baking, or culinary industry preferred. Baking cakes, decorating, baking breads etc.
Hours:
Full-time 37.5 hrs. 5:45am to 1:45am
M-F Essential Job Functions:
Basic knowledge of baking principles, including measuring, ingredients, mixing preparing and baking a variety of products. Reviews baking schedule to be sure baked products are available as indicated by the weekly cycle menu, preparing special baked goods for holidays and special functions as needed. Obtains ingredients from storage with the assistance of the Receiving Orders all necessary supplies and insures their proper storage. Maintains and follows standardized recipes to assure accurate and uniform Handles food in accordance with strict sanitary Detects and reports spoiled ingredients and any difficulties with or damage to baking equipment to Director or Follows established safety regulations, maintains equipment and work area in a clean, sanitized and orderly condition per Dining Services' sanitation matrix. Other related duties as assigned.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to speak clearly and be understood. Able to hear sounds within some background of noise as in answering the phone, intercom, etc. Ability to attend to tasks/functions for more than 60 minutes at a time. Ability to remember multiple tasks /assignments given to self and others over long periods of time.
