Organic unbleached flour, salt, water, and lard from a Florida farm. That's it. No preservatives, no seed oils, no chemistry set. Every tortilla is handmade in small batches. We sell them at farmers markets, in local stores, to restaurants, and online — and people come back for them, hard. We're growing fast and we're building this thing the right way. We're a small team. That means the person we hire isn't a number on a schedule — they're the next piece of this thing. Who We're Looking For One person who's been around a kitchen, knows what clean looks like, and doesn't need somebody standing over their shoulder telling them what to do next. You should be the kind of person who walks past a dirty prep table and wipes it down without being asked. Who notices we're low on bags before we run out. Who can laugh through a hot Friday night press run and still count the packs right. If you need someone to hand you a task list every hour, this isn't your spot. What You'll Actually Do In the kitchen: Mix dough Press and bake on a commercial tortilla oven Pack and label Prep for the next run Wash dishes and break down the station Keep the kitchen inspection-ready, every shift Out the door: Pull and stage wholesale and retail orders Deliver local orders Work farmers markets and events — sell, talk to people, represent the brand We are all the Face of the Brand of First Bake It's a real job. You'll be on your feet the whole shift, working next to a hot oven, lifting bags of flour or mixed dough. If that's a problem, this isn't the job.
Requirements Must have:
Prior kitchen or bakery experience — this is not an entry-level position Food Handler certificate (current) Able to lift 30 lbs repeatedly Able to stand and work the full shift, around a hot oven Morning and Evening availability, 2-3 shifts per week, 3-5+ hours each Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, clean driving record Attention to detail — our labels, documentation, and pack counts have to be right every time Strong work ethic. Show up when you say you will.

ServSafe Manager certification Connections in the local food scene — markets, restaurants, retail Bakery-specific experience (dough handling, batch production) The Deal Pay $15+/hour, depending on experience and certifications. Schedule 2-3 evening shifts per week, 3-5 hours each. Some weekend market shifts. Type Part-time now — strong potential to go full-time as we grow.
