Cake Decorator - Full-Time (30-40 hrs/week) South Daytona , FL | Tuesday-Saturday Treats & Sweets Cakery is a fast-paced, growing custom cake shop looking for a skilled and passionate Cake Decorator to join our team! We specialize in custom wedding and high end cakes, celebration cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, and more. If you thrive in a creative, busy environment and love bringing edible art to life, this is the place for you. Pay starting rate is based on experience $15-$20 an hour

Responsibilities:

Create custom cake designs using buttercream, fondant, and sculpted elements Stack, crumb-coat, and smoothly ice cakes of all sizes Cover cakes with fondant and create fondant/gumpaste decorations and sculpted pieces Assist with large events, deliveries, and setup as needed Maintain an organized and clean workspace Follow detailed order sheets and meet deadlines in a high-volume bakery Collaborate with a creative team to bring client visions to life Ability to make cake pops and other desserts is a plus

Requirements:

Prior experience in a cake shop or professional cake environment is

REQUIRED

Strong decorating skills with buttercream and fondant Knowledge of cake structure, stacking, and support systems Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and able to work Tuesday-Saturday schedule Positive attitude and passion for creating edible art Must work holiday season, but not on Thanksgiving or Christmas, Christmas Eve required
