Honolulu, HI We Heart Cake Company is looking for a reliable and dependable Part-Time Bakery Assistant / Cashier to join our small bakery team. This is a support position focused on assisting with daily bakery operations, customer service, and basic production tasks. You do not need to be an experienced baker. Some previous experience in a restaurant, café, kitchen, bakery, or cashier/customer service position is preferred. An interest in baking and a willingness to learn are a plus! Responsibilities Assist with basic bakery and production tasks Pack and prepare customer orders accurately Help customers and operate the register Restock products and supplies Assist with basic food preparation and bakery tasks Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitary Follow recipes, instructions, checklists, and food-safety procedures Complete assigned tasks efficiently and carefully Assist the bakery team as needed throughout the shift What We're Looking For Reliable and punctual Consistent attendance Able to commit to the same two scheduled days every week Able to follow detailed instructions, recipes, and checklists Able to stay focused and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Comfortable receiving feedback and corrections Positive attitude and willingness to learn Interest in baking and bakery production Restaurant, café, kitchen, bakery, or cashier experience preferred, but not required Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to stand and work on your feet for most of the shift Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move around the kitchen throughout the workday Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation Schedule & Attendance This is a fixed, ongoing part-time position — not an on-call or flexible-schedule position. We are a small team, so reliability is extremely important. Each team member is expected to arrive on time and consistently work their scheduled shifts.
