Job Description

We are seeking friendly, knowledgable, and professional individuals to join our team at The Bougie Foodie in West Loop! We're looking for individuals who are energetic & enthusiastic, take direction well, work cleanly and efficiently, have a strong sense of urgency, and an eye for detail. Must have reliable transportation to and from work, and ability to lift 50 pounds. 1-2+ years of experience in baking/pastry production in a professional kitchen is required for this role. This position offers a flexible schedule, but we'd like someone with the ability to work weekends. We're looking to fill a part-time role for this position, offering 15-20 hours per week.
Role & Responsibilities:
We're seeking an experienced pastry chef/baker that is self-motivated, works well with others, has a great attitude, and is detail-oriented. We are a from scratch kitchen that thrives on efficiency and consistency in our production. At this time, our primary focus is on desserts, including but not limited to: cookies, bars, cakes, cinnamon rolls, tiramisu, and more. We'd prefer someone who has experience frosting cakes and/or making yeast-based dough. Bakers start at $20/hour during training, and once you're fully trained, you'll earn $22/hour. This role offers flexibility, growth, and a chance to truly shine in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. As a Baker, you will: Produce our desserts at scale, efficiently and consistently once fully trained Cross-train and perform duties across all BOH tasks, including restocking ingredients, basic cleaning tasks, etc. Be responsible for opening and/or closing tasks as needed Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive atmosphere Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed (think restocking supplies, moving/picking up cases of ingredients, etc.) We want passionate individuals who embody our core values: Elevating Yourself & Your Team, Respect, Consistency / Quality, Transparency / Trustworthiness, Positivity.

From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
