We are looking for a dependable, creative, and hardworking Baker to join our team and help us create delicious, high-quality products for our customers. Position Overview The Baker will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bakery items while maintaining Sweetie's Bake Shop's standards for quality, consistency, presentation, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in producing beautiful and delicious baked goods. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake cakes, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, bars, muffins, pies, pastries, and other bakery items
- Follow recipes accurately and maintain consistent product quality
- Measure, mix, portion, bake, fill, and finish bakery products
- Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, frostings, and other components
- Assist with decorating and finishing products as needed
- Complete daily production according to bakery needs and customer orders
- Monitor ovens and baking times to ensure products are baked properly
- Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary work area
- Properly label, date, rotate, and store ingredients and finished products
- Monitor ingredient and supply levels and communicate when items need to be reordered
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and allergen-handling procedures
- Assist with opening, closing, and general bakery duties as needed
- Work collaboratively with other bakery team members to complete orders on time Qualifications
- Previous baking, pastry, restaurant, or commercial kitchen experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic baking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Dependable, punctual, and organized
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift bakery ingredients and equipment
- Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Culinary or pastry education is a plus but not required.
