Position Summary:
The Back of House Baker prepares and bakes cupcakes, cakes, and other products according to The Flying Cupcake's recipes, processes, and daily production needs. Our commissary kitchen supplies all three stores, deliveries, and events, so accuracy, consistency, organization, and teamwork are essential.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare cakes, cupcakes, and other products according to company recipes and production standards. Accurately measure, weigh, mix, portion, and bake ingredients and products. Build and follow the daily bake list to keep production accurate and efficient. Monitor bake times, temperatures, product appearance, and quality to maintain consistency. Safely and properly use commercial mixers, ovens, scales and other kitchen tools. Coordinate with decorating and production team members to ensure timely baked products are available. Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary workspace, including dishes and routine kitchen cleaning. Monitor ingredient and supply levels and communicate production needs to kitchen leadership. Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and company requirements. Assist teammates and support the kitchen wherever needed. What Makes a Great TFC Team Member? Dependable

High-volume food production experience is a plus
Schedule & Compensation Early-Morning Schedule:
Shifts typically begin between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. and continue until the daily bake list and assigned production are completed. Shift length may vary based on production needs. Saturday availability is required. No bake production on Sunday (unless specially scheduled event)
Hours:
Approximately 30 hours per week, based on scheduling and production needs.
Pay:
$16.00

00/hour + participation in the shared tip pool. Tip amounts vary based on sales and are not guaranteed. Physical Requirements & Work Environment This active commercial bakery position requires extended standing and frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, mixing, and repetitive movement. Must be able to lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds. Work includes commercial ovens, mixers, hot pans, food and cleaning products, and other kitchen equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
