This is part-time possibly full time. For a home based baker, this could be partially onsite, as well as from home delivering finished goods to location. Duties Prepare a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries with precision and flair, including intricate cake decorating techniques. Handle food production tasks such as mixing, baking, assembling, and finishing products to ensure freshness and visual appeal. Package finished items carefully for retail or catering purposes, maintaining hygiene standards throughout the process. Assist in food handling responsibilities by following strict safety protocols to ensure product quality and compliance with food safety regulations. Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitized. Contribute to catering events or restaurant service by preparing specialty items and ensuring timely delivery of orders. Engage with customers when needed by providing friendly service and answering questions about our products. Experience Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts within a food production or restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and kitchen operations in the food industry. Demonstrated culinary experience with knife skills, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods. Background in catering or restaurant environments preferred, with an emphasis on customer service excellence. Familiarity with packaging processes for baked goods or confections is a plus. Prior experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or bakery setting that demands attention to detail and efficiency. Certification or training in food safety practices is highly desirable.
