The Cake Decorator is responsible for preparing, decorating, and maintaining our signature ice cream cakes while making sure every customer receives a beautiful, high-quality product. Responsibilities Prepare and decorate Cold Stone ice cream cakes according to company standards. Write personalized messages neatly and accurately on cakes. Add frosting, borders, toppings, chocolate pieces, sprinkles, and other decorations. Follow customer cake orders carefully, including requested flavors, colors, designs, and messages. Complete cake orders on time and before the scheduled pickup time . Keep the cake display/freezer properly stocked with popular cake varieties. Maintain proper inventory of cake supplies, decorations, frosting, and packaging. Follow recipes, portion sizes, food-safety procedures, and Cold Stone standards. Properly label and date prepared products. Keep the cake decorating area, equipment, utensils, and freezer clean and organized. Handle decorating tools and store equipment carefully. Check completed cakes for quality and presentation before placing them in the freezer or giving them to customers. Communicate with management immediately if there is a problem with an order or if supplies are running low. Assist with other store duties during slower cake-production periods when needed. Qualifications Previous cake decorating experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Creative with good attention to detail. Able to write clearly and neatly on cakes. Dependable and able to complete work without constant supervision. Good time-management and organizational skills. Able to follow instructions, recipes, and decorating standards. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Must maintain a clean and sanitary work area. Positive attitude and ability to work well with other team members.
