Commercial Baker Department:

Baking Reports to: Department Manager Our Baking Department is the center of everything we do. We are seeking a self motivated individual with a passion for baking, a positive, friendly and outgoing personality. The ideal candidate is committed to producing quality baked goods. Responsibilities:

Daily production for items, including but not limited to cakes, bread, croissants, cookies, etc. Arrives to work on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts Daily quality checks of products Immediately reports safety hazards and violations

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Operates quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, time-driven environment, while ensuring consistent, high quality products Ability to follow a recipe Basic math skills necessary for recipe conversions and/or modifications A genuine passion and knowledge for food and pastries Knowledge of how to work with a dough sheeter, mixers and ovens Dependable and hard-working Must be meticulously clean and aware of all food safety standards

Experience:

Intermediate Level - prior experience required / strong willingness to continue to learn Physical Requirements /

Working Conditions:

Must have the physical ability to carry out the functions of the job Standing/walking 7-8 hours (in an 8-hour work day) Ability to lift <50lbs Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals Exposure to temperatures: <32°F (freezers), 32-40°F (refrigerators), >90°F Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, and other heavy machinery May require use of ladders
