This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident communicating with customers, enjoys sales, and is comfortable working with cakes and bakery products. The right person will be the face of Cedars Cakes when customers visit or call. You must be warm, professional, dependable, organized, and able to pay close attention to details—especially when taking cake orders and communicating customer requests to our production team. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales Welcome customers and provide a warm, professional bakery experience. Answer customer phone calls and respond to customer questions. Conduct cake consultations and help customers choose the right cake, size, flavor, design, and add-ons. Accurately take cake orders and record all customer details. Recommend additional products and upsell when appropriate, including cupcakes, toppers, fillings, candles, and other add-ons. Follow up with customers when needed. Handle customer concerns professionally and find appropriate solutions. Help customers make decisions while providing excellent service—not high-pressure sales. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming storefront. Cake & Bakery Production Assist with baking cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other bakery products. Assist with cake preparation and basic cake decorating. Write names, messages, and inscriptions on cakes neatly and professionally. Add simple decorations and finishing touches to cakes. Package cakes and bakery products carefully for pickup and delivery. Follow recipes, measurements, production procedures, and quality standards. Assist the decorating and production team during busy periods. Attention to Detail Double-check cake orders for names, dates, sizes, flavors, colors, designs, and special instructions . Make sure the correct cake goes to the correct customer. Communicate customer requests clearly to the baking and decorating team. Follow checklists and bakery procedures consistently. Maintain high standards for presentation and product quality. Cake decorating or bakery experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Important This position is customer-facing and sales-focused , in addition to bakery production. The person hired for this role will represent Cedars Cakes every day.
