Position Summary The Baker's Assistant supports the bakery team in preparing, baking, organizing, and packaging a variety of baked goods and desserts. This seasonal, part-time position plays an important role in maintaining product quality, cleanliness, and efficiency within the bakery. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in producing high-quality products. Schedule Seasonal position Approximately 12-15 hours per week Typically 3 days per week, 4-5 hours per shift Schedule may vary based on business needs and seasonal demand Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and baking of bakery items according to recipes and production schedules Measure, mix, portion, and prepare ingredients Finish, package, and prepare bakery products for catering events and production needs Arrange and platter baked goods for catering events Label, date, and store products following food safety standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of bakery workstations, equipment, storage areas, and walk-in coolers/freezers Assist with inventory organization and stock rotation Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company standards Support the bakery team with additional tasks as assigned Qualifications Previous baking, food service, or kitchen experience preferred but not required Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and punctuality Positive attitude and willingness to learn Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks Ability to work safely around commercial kitchen equipment Success in This Role A successful Baker's Assistant consistently produces quality work, maintains a clean and organized workspace, follows food safety standards, and contributes positively to the overall efficiency and success of the bakery team.
