About us Hold The Wheat is a small family owned gluten-free bakery and coffee shop. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive space where everyone can enjoy savory and sweet treats without compromising taste or quality. This is an LGBTQ+ owned business that has a diverse and inclusive staff. We pride ourselves on having a strong focus on minimizing our carbon footprint and our impact to the planet. We opened our first location in Minneapolis, MN in March 2022 and are beyond excited to have opened our second location here in Portland! This listing is for our Minneapolis location.

$18 + tips We are seeking a skilled Gluten-Free Baker to join our team. You will play a vital role in producing a wide range of gluten-free pastries . If you are skilled in the kitchen, self driven and want to be part of an inclusive work community, we want to hear from you! This is a late evening position typically working from 6pm-12am after training. Responsibilities Prepare and bake a variety of gluten-free savory and sweet treats ensuring quality and consistency. Measure and mix ingredients accurately to achieve delicious results Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to achieve optimal texture, flavor, and appearance in baked goods. Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper storage, handling, and cleaning of equipment and workspaces. Collaborate with team members to manage inventory, maintain production efficiency, and fulfill orders. Operate industrial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans and other kitchen equipment. Skills/Qualifications Previous experience in baking and a passion to learn about gluten free baking is highly desirable. Good time management skills. Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring, mixing, and baking. Ability to follow recipes and production schedules while maintaining quality and consistency. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in the evening, weekends and some holidays. Can do attitude, flexibility and adaptability are necessary in this face paced environment
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you available to work from 6pm to 12am?
