We specialize in handcrafted Italian cookies, pastries, cakes, cheesecakes, cannoli and other specialty desserts made with the quality and care our customers have come to expect from Scola's. We're looking for someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced bakery or commercial kitchen, can follow established recipes consistently, and takes pride in producing high-quality baked goods. What You'll Do Prepare and bake cookies, pastries and other bakery items according to established recipes Mix, portion, shape and prepare doughs, batters and fillings Follow daily production schedules and prioritize orders appropriately Maintain consistency in taste, appearance, portion size and overall product quality Safely operate commercial bakery equipment Prepare products for customer orders, bakery inventory and special events Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary workstation Follow all food safety and proper food-handling procedures Assist with prep, packaging and other bakery production as needed Work as part of a team during high-volume production periods, weekends and holidays What We're Looking For Previous professional baking, pastry, restaurant or commercial kitchen experience strongly preferred Ability to accurately follow recipes and established production processes Dependable and punctual Strong attention to detail and consistency Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to stay organized while managing multiple production tasks Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical tasks required in a commercial bakery Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed About Scola's Scola's Italian Cookies is more than a bakery — we're a family-owned Kansas City business built around tradition, quality and hospitality.
