Child Nutrition Manager/Supervisor/Director
NATURE OF WORK
Employee has knowledge and assists in the preparation of all meals by applying all basic principles of food production. Detailed instructions and general guidelines are given for work to be done. Employee is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a clean and friendly atmosphere.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXAMPLES OF WORK
Learn and apply quantity food preparation methods and procedures Read, interpret, and follow standardized recipes Properly use and care for all food preparation equipment Follow Sanitation and Safety procedures Communicate clearly and effectively with peers, manager, visitors, and parents Assist in removing trash from the facility Assist in cleaning serving lines, tables, equipment, and furnishings in the cafeteria Washes dishes, cookware, and utensils as assigned Cashier responsibilities and account for meals accurately Provide good customer service Performs related duties as assigned by the cafeteria manager, supervisor, or director
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
High School Diploma Knowledge of food preparation and serving practices Knowledge of Safety and Sanitation standards Ability to perform simple arithmetic Ability to read and understand simple written instructions Ability to work at a quick and steady pace for prolonged periods of time with accuracy Work is performed in a standing position with exposure to frequent noise and heat Some lifting up to 50 pounds required •between 4.5 & 5.5 hrs/day
