Our production environment is fast-paced, team-oriented, and structured around a consistent evening schedule—designed for efficiency and collaboration. Job Summary:
We are looking for a Seasoned Baker who is passionate about sourdough, fermentation, and producing excellent baked goods at scale. This role is hands-on and fast-paced—ideal for someone who thrives in a production environment but still appreciates the craft of baking. Evening and/or night shifts are required for this position , as our production schedule operates during these hours. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience working evening or night shifts in a bakery or similar production setting. Whether you've got years of experience or are new to baking, we're open to both. What matters most is your willingness to learn, adapt, and work as part of a team that values quality, efficiency, and community. Responsibilities Open the bakery in the evening and review wholesale and market orders Collaborate with the team to execute a nightly bake plan Evaluate doughs and pastries to determine baking sequence Load and manage deck ovens with sourdough loaves and pastries Boil, top, and bake naturally leavened bagels Bake various items including hearth loaves, pan loaves, focaccia, baguettes, croissants, and more Apply finishing touches such as egg wash and toppings Monitor bake times and oven temps for quality and consistency Communicate performance notes to the morning team for continuous improvement Organize, label, and package pastries for wholesale delivery Maintain a clean, safe work environment throughout your shift Qualifications Experience in a bakery, bakery production or kitchen environment preferred, especially evening or night shifts Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment (deck ovens, mixers, proofers) Strong understanding of and appreciation for the importance of time and temperature in baking and fermentation Ability to work efficiently and stay calm under pressure Passion for high-quality food production using organic, natural ingredients Reliable team player with strong communication skills Flexibility to work evening hours Culinary school certification is a plus but not required
