Job Description

Production Baker We are looking for an experienced and dependable Production Baker to join our commissary bakery team. This position focuses on large-scale production of cakes, pies, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods that support our restaurant operations. This is a hands-on production role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced bakery environment and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality products in volume. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, comfortable following standardized recipes, and able to manage multiple production needs throughout a shift. Responsibilities Prepare and produce large batches of cakes, pies, pastries, cookies, bars, and other baked goods. Scale, mix, portion, shape, bake, and finish products according to established recipes and specifications. Follow daily and weekly production schedules to ensure products are completed accurately and on time. Maintain consistency in product quality, appearance, portion size, and yield across large production batches. Accurately measure and weigh ingredients using standardized recipes. Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product quality throughout the production process. Safely operate commercial bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, scales, and other production equipment. Coordinate with other bakery and commissary team members to meet production deadlines and restaurant needs. Properly label, date, store, and rotate finished products and ingredients. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary production area. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Assist with inventory, ingredient preparation, and other bakery production needs as assigned. Qualifications Previous professional baking or pastry experience preferred. Experience in a high-volume bakery, commissary, restaurant, or production kitchen is strongly preferred. Experience producing cakes, pies, pastries, and other baked goods in large quantities. Strong understanding of baking techniques, measurements, temperatures, and production methods. Ability to accurately follow standardized recipes and production specifications. Comfortable working with commercial bakery equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team. Ability to adapt to changing production volumes and business needs. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who understands that production baking is about more than making one great cake or pie. It is about being able to produce dozens or hundreds of high-quality products consistently , while maintaining the same recipe, appearance, taste, and quality every time.
