Responsibilities include:
Preparing and baking a variety of artisan breads, pastries, cookies, muffins, bars, and other scratch-made baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards. Scaling, mixing, shaping, baking, and finishing products with consistency and attention to detail. Reading and accurately following recipes while using baker's percentages, weights, and production schedules. Maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment. Monitoring ingredient and supply levels and communicating inventory needs. Working efficiently to meet production goals without compromising quality. Collaborating with the bakery and café teams to ensure products are ready for service. Pitching in wherever needed to support the team and contribute to a successful day. What We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you should have: Experience working in a production kitchen; professional bakery experience is preferred, but strong culinary experience will also be considered. The ability to accurately read and follow recipes. Experience using a digital scale and working with weighed ingredients. A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining consistency and quality. A calm, positive attitude under pressure. A willingness to accept feedback, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve. A genuine interest in baking and developing your skills. ServSafe Food Handler certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one). Why Join The Blue Loon?
