Position Summary Our Cake Team Members are passionate about their craft and take pride in the quality and beauty of their creations. The Cake Team Member is responsible for preparing, assembling, decorating and finishing cakes, pastries and desserts according to Paris Baguette recipes and presentation standards. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, organized and passionate about producing beautiful products that bring joy and satisfaction to our guests. Responsibilities Prepare, assemble, decorate and finish cakes, pastries and desserts. Scale ingredients and follow Paris Baguette recipes and production procedures accurately. Prepare creams, fillings, sauces and other components used in cakes and pastries. Maintain consistency in product appearance, quality, portioning and presentation. Organize daily confectionery production and complete assigned tasks on schedule. Learn new products, recipes and decorating techniques. Demonstrate proper production and decorating techniques to new Cake Team Members when requested. Feedback is a gift! We can only learn, grow and improve our service if we hear and understand what it is our customers are telling us. Ensure the cake display is fully stocked, clean and presentable for customers. Inspect finished products and remove items that do not meet quality standards. Maintain a clean, safe and organized workstation and production area. Follow all food-safety, sanitation, labeling and storage procedures and nutrition related knowledge (include FDA) Receive, rotate, stock and store ingredients and supplies in designated areas. Monitor ingredient and supply levels and notify management when products are running low. Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to management promptly. Communicate clearly with management and other team members. Support coworkers and contribute to a positive and respectful team environment. Perform other bakery and café duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous cake decorating, pastry production or professional kitchen experience preferred. Knowledge of cake-production methods, decorating techniques, sanitation and quality-control procedures preferred. Culinary, baking, pastry, confectionery or food-related education is a plus. Food Handler's Certificate preferred. Ability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Good organization, time-management and prioritization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, punctual, self-motivated and open to feedback. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus but not required. Passion for cakes, decorating, creativity and guest satisfaction.
