Assists the bakery department in preparing desserts daily, supplying baked goods for service. Preps and bakes items following standard recipes. Follow recipes accurately. Prepare raw materials such as oil, yeast, flour, and sugar for baking purposes. Assist baker in baking breads, cakes, cookies, pies, and other bakery items. Make fondant, frosting, and butter cream mixtures by following taste, color, and consistency protocols. Handle baking supplies and equipment. Stock and count inventory. Procure out-of-stock items. Work at a fast pace and efficiently multitask in order to keep up with high-volume production.
