Job Description
Baker Tuesday | 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Wednesday-Saturday | 5:00 AM-1:00 PM
•Hourly wage based on experience Ladybird Deli + Bakery is looking for an experienced and passionate Baker to join our bakery team. The core focus of this position is laminated pastry production , so strong experience working with croissant dough and other laminated doughs is essential. We're looking for someone who understands the precision, consistency, and attention to detail required to produce beautiful pastries from scratch. What You'll Be Doing Producing laminated doughs from start to finish, including mixing, locking in butter, folding, sheeting, shaping, proofing, and baking Producing croissants, pain au chocolat, danishes, and other laminated pastries Preparing fillings, creams, glazes, toppings, and other pastry components Assisting with the development of seasonal and specialty pastries Following established recipes while maintaining consistency in flavor, appearance, and quality Managing fermentation, proofing, and production timelines Maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient pastry workspace Monitoring ingredient and production needs and communicating with the kitchen team Helping maintain the high standards of quality and presentation that define Ladybird's pastry program What We're Looking For Experience with laminated dough is the most important qualification for this position.
Ideal candidates will have:
Professional pastry or bakery experience Strong knowledge of croissant and laminated dough production An understanding of dough temperature, fermentation, proofing, butter consistency, and bake quality Strong attention to detail and consistency Good time-management and organizational skills The ability to work independently during early-morning production Creativity and an interest in developing new pastries and seasonal offerings A dependable, team-oriented approach to kitchen work A culinary or pastry degree is not required . We care more about your experience, technique, consistency, and the quality of your work. A portfolio or photos of past pastry work are helpful but not required .
Schedule Tuesday:
9:00 AM-5:00
PM Wednesday-Saturday:
5:00 AM-1:00 PM Because this is a production-focused pastry position, applicants must be comfortable with consistent early-morning shifts . Compensation Hourly wage based on experience. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves the craft of pastry and wants to take ownership of producing beautiful, high-quality baked goods in a from-scratch kitchen. If laminated dough is your strength and you take pride in the details that turn a good croissant into a great one, we'd love to hear from you.
