Job Overview Kingston Bread and Bar, a retail and wholesale bakery specializing in sourdough bread and laminated pastries, is seeking new pastry-team members to assist with the production of our signature products. We are currently interviewing for all skill levels, from entry-level to experienced pastry cook. Please reach out to learn more! Duties Prepare a variety of baked goods, including pastries, cookies, croissants, and other confections with precision and creativity Follow recipes meticulously to ensure consistent quality and flavor in all products Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and pastry tools safely and efficiently Package baked items carefully for presentation and storage, maintaining product integrity during handling Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols Assist in food production processes, including dough preparation, food handling, and portioning for high-volume output Skills Proven pastry preparation experience is a plus, but we're also willing to train! Knowledge of food production techniques and baking principles Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Familiarity with food safety management practices and maintaining a clean workspace Strong attention to detail for recipe adherence and presentation quality Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory Willingness to work closely with other team members and collaborate on new ideas All employees of Kingston Bread receive paid time off, the option to participate in our 401K, staff meals from our restaurant location, and an employee discount at both Kingston Bread locations and our sister shop, Rough Draft.
