Bakery Assistant Mrs. Kelder's Cakes Manlius, NY Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $17 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training On-the-job training Employee discount Qualifications Kitchen hygiene Bakery experience Food service workstation cleanliness Food allergen awareness Baking High school diploma or GED Phone customer support Attention to detail Organizational skills Full Job Description Counter Service and support staff needed. Job duties would include taking and fulfilling orders placed over the phone and in person. This position would also include counter service and is a closing shift, so daily prep and sidework with a full cleaning/shut down of facility. Ultimately, it would be great to transition this job into assisting with baking and custom orders. The ideal candidate would possess previous experience in baking/decorating and/or work in a bakery or food service facility. Organization, communication skills, ability to work efficiently and independently a must.
Shifts needed:
Tues-Friday 2-6:30pm, Sat 12:30-6:30pm. This is a shift that can increase or decrease in hours and vary slightly depending on weekly scheduled orders. Number of hours/week are negotiable. Qualifications- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced bakery environment
- Experience in baking or a passion for learning and developing baking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting to ensure efficient production processes
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules in a dynamic bakery setting
- Attention to detail is a must with taking and fulfilling orders.
