This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft delectable bakery products and stunning cake designs that delight customers and elevate our brand. The ideal candidate will combine scientific expertise in food technology with artistic flair in cake decoration, ensuring every product meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and visual appeal. Duties Develop and formulate new bakery products, including cakes, pastries, and confections, aligning with current food trends and consumer preferences. Decorate cakes and baked goods with intricate designs, piping, fondant work, and other advanced decorating techniques to create visually stunning products. Conduct sensory evaluations and taste tests to refine recipes, ensuring optimal flavor, texture, and appearance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R D, quality assurance, production, and marketing to bring new products from concept to shelf. Ensure all bakery products comply with FDA regulations, HACCP standards, GFSI requirements, and other food safety management protocols. Collect data on product performance, analyze results for continuous improvement, and troubleshoot formulation or decoration issues through root cause analysis. Maintain meticulous documentation of formulations, process parameters, quality control measures, and sanitation procedures in accordance with CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and HARPC (Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls). Experience Proven experience in food manufacturing or bakery product development within the food & beverage industry. Strong background in formulation chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, or related scientific research fields. Hands-on laboratory experience with food processing techniques, quality assurance testing, sensory evaluation methods, and data collection tools. Demonstrated expertise in new product development from ideation through commercialization while adhering to regulatory/legal compliance standards. Familiarity with food safety management systems such as
HACCP, HARPC, GFSI
standards, CGMPs, and sanitation protocols. Excellent analysis skills combined with project management capabilities to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously. Effective cross-functional communication skills to coordinate efforts across R D, production teams, regulatory bodies, and suppliers.
