Job Description
Dough Production Being a dough production team member at Ceres is not just about making dough. It's about creating a consistent, high-quality foundation for every pizza we serve. Key areas of focus in this position will include following precise recipes, mixing and shaping our pizza dough to exacting standards, and contributing to a fast-paced, organized production kitchen. The successful candidate will have a positive can-do attitude, highly structured working habits, and a genuine care for the craft. Dough Production Expertise Mix and shape pizza dough in high volumes, maintaining consistency in weight, texture, and form. Follow precise recipes and hydration ratios to produce dough that meets our quality standards. Use industrial kitchen equipment Contribute to a motivated and positive kitchen environment. Maintenance & Cleanliness Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas. Clean and care for all equipment to ensure peak performance. Follow all NYC Department of Health guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant environment. Physical Requirements Able to be on feet the majority of the workday for extended periods. Ability to use hands for repetitive and physically demanding tasks, including feeling and controlling dough. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects Scheduling Availability to work full time (40 hours/week) Availability to work weekends and holidays Must be based in NYC Compensation Starting at $27 an hour Ideal Candidate Has prior experience working with pizza or bread dough in a high-volume setting Strong attention to detail, consistency, and cleanliness Ability to stay engaged, focused, and efficient during repetitive production tasks A valid NYC Food Handler's Permit (or willingness to obtain one)
