Role Overview:

We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our team. You will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and decorating both standard display-case cakes, icing and decorating various pastry items and creating custom orders. Key Responsibilities:

Cake Preparation & Assembly:

Cut, fill, crumb coat, and ice cakes using buttercream, whipped cream, or fondant.

Creative Decorating:

Use pastry bags, tips, and edible images to decorate cakes based on customer specifications and daily display needs.

Customer Interaction:

Answer inquiries regarding cake flavors and sizes, and take custom orders.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health department regulations are strictly followed.

Kitchen Maintenance:

Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace before, during, and after decorating.

Inventory Management:

Stock and rotate products and coolers.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience:

Previous cake decorating experience or a culinary/pastry certificate is required.

Skills:

Strong manual dexterity, creative flair, and the ability to write custom messages neatly.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 15lbs, and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Availability:

Must be available to work weekends and evenings.
