We are looking to hire applicants with prior high volume baking experience Business Description Luna Bakery & Cafe shares the experience of real food, scratch pastry and local coffee in a cozy space where delighting our guests is our top priority. In 2011 we opened our first location in Cleveland Heights and opened our 2nd location in Moreland Hills in 2018. In the summer of 2021 we opened our production facility in Midtown, Cleveland. At this facility we produce the majority of the sweet pastries sold at the cafes each day, as well as our custom cake shop and sugar cookie department. Luna Bakery Cafe has also recently expanded to downtown with the opening of a cafe location on W. 9th. Luna is a fast paced cafe where we craft daily breakfast and lunch, scratch pastry and local coffee drinks. • following exact recipes/measurements Cookie doughs, breakfast breads, scones, and other specialty pastries Responsible for quality assurance of product Report to Director of Pastry Operations
• Brynn Keefe Abide by all health, safety, and sanitation standards Problem solver & strong communication skills Track orders, set timelines and stay on schedule Must be creative, artistic and have an eye for detail Full understanding of department capabilities and offerings Oversee and execute large orders, often with only a few days notice for clients and Luna cafe locations Follows opening, closing and other procedural checklists correctly Assist in training new staff and seasonal staff, as requested Be coachable•actively looking for feedback to grow and improve Check slack and emails daily for communication Prepare, sheet and bake sugar cookies according to Luna recipes Facility responsibilities: Help ensure that all health, safety, and sanitation standards are maintained in the kitchen and storage areas Arrives on time for all shifts and meetings and adheres to dress code Able to work weekends and non major holidays, as needed A dynamic employee•self-motivated and friendly with high energy level Works very effectively as part of a team Easily adapts to change and continuous improvement Able to work well in stressful situations while keeping cool and positive attitude Qualifications and Skills 3+ years experience in high volume scratch bakery Culinary background Passion for local scratch food and pastry Able to work for 8+ hours, as well as being able to lift 50lbs
