Job Description
While working closely with research personnel, participates actively in a structured learning experience in the laboratory or clinical research setting. Gains hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical settings, data collection and analysis and/or other related skills to explore careers in biomedical and/or clinical research.
Responsibilities:
Student will begin learning laboratory techniques to support ongoing research projects in the laboratory or clinical setting with minimal supervision Student will begin learning how to record and analyze data related to research experiments or other data sets with minimal supervision. Other duties as assigned.Education:
Undergraduate degree required. May be accepted/enrolled in an accredited college or university as a medical student, MA/MS student or other graduate program student. (EXCLUDES students in a PhD program) This position is NOT applicable to anyone who has completed all requirements for master's or other advanced degree. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Languages:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Work Experience:
None required. Students with previous clinical research or research laboratory experience are often preferred.Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. Ability to distinguish color. Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment. Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, biohazards, radioactive materials, etc.Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay Range Minimum hourly:
$15.00 Maximum hourly: $150.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
