Handle food safely by following proper hygiene practices, including food handling protocols and sanitation procedures. Package finished products carefully for retail display or delivery, maintaining presentation quality and freshness. Support kitchen operations by setting up workstations, organizing ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the workspace. Contribute to catering events by preparing menu items with efficiency and professionalism. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed. Follow all food safety regulations and health standards diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers. Skills Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts with a keen eye for detail. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques within the food industry or restaurant settings. Skilled in food handling safety practices and sanitation standards. Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, slicing, and portioning of ingredients. Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, piping tools, and packaging machinery efficiently. Experience in food packaging for retail or catering purposes with an emphasis on presentation quality. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and assist customers confidently. Culinary experience that includes cooking techniques relevant to bakery or pastry production is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper hygiene protocols in a commercial kitchen environment.
