• Job Summary:

• We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our team. The Bakery Assistant will support our bakery operations by assisting in baking, customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the culinary arts, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their bakery orders
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the bakery area
• Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
• Upsell bakery products to customers to increase sales
• Assist in stocking bakery items and maintaining inventory levels
• Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure smooth operations
• Follow recipes and instructions for baking products
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines

• Experience:

• Previous experience in a bakery, grocery store, or kitchen environment is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner
• Knowledge of basic math skills for handling cash transactions
• Experience using a cash register is a plus
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively
• Familiarity with upselling techniques to promote bakery products

• Requirements:

• Passion for the culinary arts and interest in working in a bakery setting
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
