Responsibilities Decorate cakes and baked goods with intricate designs, fondant, icing, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications and bakery standards Prepare a variety of baked goods including cakes, pastries, doughs, and other confections following established recipes and food safety guidelines Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and decorating tools safely and efficiently during food production Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation protocols Package finished products carefully for delivery or display, ensuring presentation quality and product integrity Assist in food preparation tasks related to cake decorating, pastry assembly, and other culinary activities as needed Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers' special requests or inquiries about baked goods Qualifications Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, or related food production roles within the food industry Strong skills in cake decorating techniques including piping, fondant work, and intricate design execution Knowledge of baking principles, dough preparation, and recipe adherence for baked goods such as cakes, pastries, and confections Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining a clean workspace in high-volume production settings Basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and inventory management Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members Understanding of food handling procedures, food safety standards, and proper sanitation practices Previous catering or culinary experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning new skills is essential Join us in creating beautiful baked goods that bring joy to our customers!
