Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled baker to join our culinary team for a 6 month duration - October 2026-March 2027. In this role, you will be at the heart of creating delicious baked goods. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and commitment to quality will help us deliver exceptional products to our customers. Bakers prepare a wide range of delicious baked goods and pastries, like cookies, cinnamon buns, danish, muffins, pop tarts, scones, oat bars and more. Baker responsibilities include opening the bakery early in the morning (4:30am), mixing dough, preparing fillings, glazing pastries, and decorating using creative techniques while following all Food Safety Standards required by local and state health departments. Duties Prepares, produces, and bakes breakfast pastries, baked goods, and some desserts under the guidance of the culinary manager Decorates baked goods Sets time and speed controls for mixing machines, or blending machines, so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions Measures or weighs flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, or whipped cream, using scales or graduated containers Prepares garnishes as needed for baked goods Keeps spoilage/waste to a minimum and discards items that don't meet high quality standards Keep inventory for baking related ingredients, report order needs to culinary manager as needed Utilizes any and all leftovers into usable products Cleans, breaks down, and puts away all baking equipment including, but not limited to: ovens, mixers, proofer, floors, freezer, and refrigerators Requirements Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role Certification from a culinary school is a plus Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters Understanding of food safety practices Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused workplace Adapts to changes in the business environment positively and quickly Desires to exceed company goals and expectations of customer service, quality, and cleanliness Flexibility to work early morning shifts This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to get back into baking or trying something new for a short period.

$20.00 per hour
