KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production & Baking:
Carry out daily kitchen operations, baking recipes, and preparing all pastries,breads, loaves, and desserts to strict Brand Standards.
Shaping & Finishing:
Responsible for the precise scaling and shaping of dough, frying donuts, placing toppings, and decorating designated pastries.
Oven Operations:
Manage general oven duties, including checking the dough conditioner and monitoring baking times.
Inventory & Logging:
Complete various records such as daily production sheets, usage trackers, and waste logs. Organize and stock incoming deliveries in designated areas.
Sanitation:
Adhere to strict Food Safety Policies, maintain clean workstations, and ensure proper labeling of all food storage containers. Inform supervisors immediately regarding equipment malfunctions or low inventory.
Team Collaboration:
Act as a team player by assisting in other areas of the bakery café when needed to ensure a smooth operation.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
Experience Requirement:
Prior experience in a kitchen or food service setting is required, with basic knowledge of dough handling, ingredient scaling (weighing), and baking techniques being a major plus! We are looking for motivated team members who are eager to learn our professional commercial processes through our fully paid 4-week training program.
Availability:
Must be comfortable and reliable for early morning shifts starting at 2:00 AM to ensure fresh products are ready for opening. General knowledge of dough production methods, food safety, and sanitary practices. High emotional intelligence with a team-first mindset; a collaborative spirit who welcomes feedback. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure to accurately scale recipes.
Training Commitment:
Must be able to complete a mandatory 4 weeks of training in New Jersey.
